Sonemat is pleased to announce its participation in the EU FP7 project “I-Rail“. Working with partners from all across Europe, the aim is to develop the next generation of rapid inspection systems for defects on rail tracks. Please see the project website for more details.

Sonemat is pleased to introduce the latest addition to its GS series of EMAT adaptor boxes, the GS2020! This features ass the compatibility of the GS1100 but with an integral A-D convertor, running averager and D-A system to resend the averaged data to a flaw detector. Most modern flaw detectors can comfortably operate at a 1kHz repetition rate, allowing the GS2020 to massively bost signal: noise ratio without significant response delay. This opens up many new potential applications for EMAT measurements in the field.

Sonemat is pleased to announce the development of two new specialist EMAT probes - a water cooled version of the popular HWS22xx series known as the WC2235 for use at high temperature, and a high impedance EMAT HI5735 for use on difficult materials such as titanium and stainless steel. Also we have re-designed our PE series pulse-echo box into a more modern, ergonomic case. Full details to be added to the website shortly.
